Green ECHO Hotel. Quiet and hotel clean. Friendly staff. Small rooms but you only Sleep there. Breakfast great, plenty of choice. Good shower and white towels soft. Separate duvet for each of us. Self service CHECK IN…… . GOOD LOCATION. EASY TRAVEL TO CITY CENTRE OPERA. …..TRAM D… get on opposite hotel and when Coming back look for sign. Alfred Adler stop. WILL light up. Pay on tram when getting on. Can get 1 if 2 day pass . Lots of good places to eat. We loved GRIECHENBEISL. Feischmakt 11 1010 Vienna Lots of traditional Austrian dishes. Lots to see and do. Belverder Palace worth a visit. Famous picture THE KISS . Plenty of art and beautiful palace ceilings and gardens. St . Stephen’s cathedral good. Johann Strass exhibition city centre Interactive and immersive. History and music. 45mins to get around. You can even compose music and send to your phone. Hop on hop off BUS To get your bearings. Happy to recommend. This HOTEL. Train from airport to train centre and back easy to use. Remember to select ENGLISH on payment machine, THIS will Help you buy the correct ticket. Easy to use. I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel early October. The front desk staff double as barista, bartender, and customer service. Very friendly and helpful. Was able to purchase my hop on hop off bus ticket from them. Excellent location close to HBF station which is also a stop on one of the hop on hop off bus routes. Only negative was that it advertises as air conditioning in the rooms. My room was hot and when I asked an employee downstairs, she mentioned it’s an air cooling system and it’s not turned on. She gets complaints all the time and the company is aware. She came up to unlock my windows so I could open it up fully for ventilation, only downside was then the room was noisy from outside traffic. This solution worked well to cool out the room, but then I would have to close the window at night in order to sleep. Room was well laid out, shower had ample hot water and excellent pressure. Bed was comfortable. Blackout curtains. It does have one small round table, which worked fine for my needs, but if you are needing a desk this may not be sufficient. I had booked a room for one person so it suited everything I needed for a brief tonight stay. There is also free luggage storage room in the basement - you pick an open locker and set your own code to lock it. Several different size lockers available. I arrived shortly after 9am and placed my carryon bag in the locker and went out sightseeing for the day. You can purchase the breakfast buffet if you wish. Good variety. Yes over-priced, but so it everything in Vienna. Didn’t eat my money’s worth but felt it provided me a fueled start my day. The bar also has sandwiches and pastry available for purchase in the evening (possibly earlier in the day too but I wasn't there daytime to see). The strudel is delicious, fresh out of the oven my first evening, cheese strudel. Yum, smiling thinking about it now. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if visiting Vienna, although would ensure it’s fall/winter and not Spring/Summer due to their lack of Air Conditioning, don’t think this ‘cooling system’ would be sufficient in hotter weather.
