UNAHOTELS Ala Venezia

We loved the Hotel Ala. We arrived by water taxi from the airport which was just magical and check in was quick and staff were very helpful. The hotel is very central and a short walk from St Mark's Square. We had a beautiful room overlooking the canal with gondolas passing by. Venice in the evening is breathtaking. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Unfortunately we only stayed here overnight and after a morning of more sightseeing we took the water bus to the train station which even with luggage was really easy as it stops just along from the hotel. The hotel Ala is in a great location spotlessly clean with friendly hard working staff - would definitely recommend and will hopefully return for a longer stay soon.

Location brilliant Hotel clean and tidy Breakfast yummy Housekeeping and staff amazing Only downfall was that the rooftop terrace was closed due to structural damage but outside seating area sufficed to chill out and have a drink A gondola ride €90 but a must when you’re in Venice Water taxi’s are expensive but the water ferries very reasonable. TIP-just check your destination and what point they go from as some are quicker than others to get to your destination Lots of shops but some require a hefty bank balance! Cartier, Tiffany’s Prada-great window shopping but way out of my budget Restaurant’s great and on par with London prices, slightly more expensive on The Grand Canal Burano is a must visit-so quirky Doge’s Palace is a great visit and St Marks Square Venice is amazing, culture, food, scenery, architecture, people watching-you’ll love it
