Very friendly staff extremely helpful and will do there best to help you would recommend this hotel to anyone staff and manager will always say hello English of staff is really good and very helpful extremely clean drinks at the bar are reasonable prices food is very good

We booked 5 nights at the Star Inn, as we were visiting my parents close by. From arrival to departure the friendly, helpful and patient nature of everyone became obvious. Clean, decent rooms, quiet and looked after. Thank you so much for the attention, the ladies on the 8th floor were amazing. Breakfast was a good time to get some coffee and a slow start. A decent choice - those pastéis miniatures are delicious! Daniel Ratcliffe looked after us, as well as his team. Coffee was fantastic, sausages and eggs, toast and juice set us up until late afternoon. Free parking in a decent, fenced off car 🚗 park at the back of the hotel. EV chargers too! Access through the back door via the bar (with TV showing football and other sports when they were on). Sending Beyoncè from Reception a big hug, I missed her the last couple of days she was off! 🥰 Will we return? 100% yes. Last but not least, thank you, BONO. We will be back, you were all STARS IN our books. Até breve, Dora & Tony 🤗🥰🇵🇹🙏

Fab rooms with lovely staff.

Great hotel, staff super friendly and helpful, reception staff speak good English which made it a lot easier and meant could have a chat at the bar with them. Rooms clean, comfortable and a good size. Would return again for another stay. Good variety at breakfast.

Arrived on a Sunday Afternoon, to a helpful and friendly English speaking reception. Whilst it was 4pm our room was not ready so they changed the allocation. Next morning we were not on the breakfast list they had not amended the room no. In addition the breakfast area was overrun with what turned out to be about 4 coach loads of people. There was a shortage of cutelry, crockery and food. I ended up with coffee in a paper cup. No hot food left at that time. Subsequent breakfast times were less busy with a little more choice. However we realised that the hotel is set up for basic stop overs on way to/from airport and coach tours, not a mid week stay like ours. The 304 bus stop right outside the hotel reception was always on time in the mornings but took up to 30 minutes to get to the centre of Porto. The return by bus was not so reliable, with busses not turning up to schedule and the last bus getting back to the hotel just after 8pm. I am not sure if there is a bar open in the evening, I certainly did not notice one. Overall this is a clean basic busy hotel and did not suit our purpose.
