  We booked a 3 bedroom villa and it was great. Very modern, enjoyed the location of being a little outside of Queenstown with plenty of local options to do in Arthur’s Point, and it was really reasonably priced compared to everything else we had looked at in and around Queenstown.   Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak, NZ – Disappointing Stay

  We stayed at Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak recently and, while the staff themselves were friendly and helpful, the overall experience was disappointing—especially for a property under the Swiss-Bel Hotels brand.There were numerous issues that affected our stay: • Lack of basic supplies – Toilet paper was limited, and there was only one washing machine and dryer available for all guests, making it first in, best dressed. • Room access error – We were unexpectedly locked out of our room because the wrong check-out date had been entered into the system. • Run-down facilities – The resort is extremely dated, worn out, and in urgent need of major renovation. • Parking problems – There are no designated carparks for guests. When we returned from dinner, the public carpark was completely full. We were also parked in and couldn’t access our car for an early morning event, forcing us to catch a bus at 5.30am. • Poor entertainment options – Only nine TV channels were available, and four of these were religious channels, leaving very little to watch.Overall, the resort needs far better management and significant upgrades. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for value for money. We only stayed because everything else in the area was fully booked, and the experience reflected that.   What a gem! Great location, huge rooms, clean, comfortable and perfect for a three night stay.

  We only planned to stay for one night, but extended to a longer stay after bad weather affected our travel plans. We were fortunate to experience the new villa (1 night) plus the original hotel room (2 nights), and both accom styles were super clean, well appointed, warm and more than comfortable for our needs. I was particularly impressed with how large the hotel room was, with so much space to relax while also having ample room for luggage. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful when we needed to edit our reservation on a busy long weekend. Location wise, you really can’t go wrong with Arthur’s Point. There is a bus stop directly out the front, a few delicious dining options and general store just across the road, and we appreciated the convenience of being close to Queenstown without having to deal with traffic jams and tourist crowds. There are also hike and bike trails nearby, and during ski season the turnoff to Coronet Peak is only 1 minute’s drive from the hotel. Thanks Swissbel - we will be back!   We stayed here on our tour of New Zealand. Located about 10 km out of city centre. The resort is close to ski fields. The rooms are large neat and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant on site which serves breakfast. Would recommend.
