    Our stay at Stara Čaršija Hotel & SPA was truly exceptional. The hotel’s interior is beautifully traditional, featuring a rustic-luxe aesthetic that makes you feel as though you are staying right within the historic old city walls. The design perfectly captures the heritage of the area while providing modern comfort. The location is scenic and breathtaking, offering magnificent views of the ancient Stari Bar fortress and the surrounding mountains. Stepping outside puts you right into the traditional atmosphere of the old bazaar with its charming cobbled streets. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly kind and attentive. The wellness facilities are lovely, and the staff there were very professional and welcoming. For those requiring them, the hotel has prayer facilities, and there are local mosques nearby in the historic district. The establishment offers a menu that is halal and serves no alcoholic drinks, which provides an authentic cultural setting.Be prepared to be surrounded by many friendly cats that roam the ancient streets of the old town—it really adds to the charm of this scenic setting.

    What a fabulous place! Bar at the southern end of Montenegro isn't yet on the mass tourist route and the town itself is fairly unexciting with a nice beach. But the jewel is Stari Bar (Old Bar) a few km above the town. A very historic place with a wonderful citadel to explore, and a couple of lively streets with a great choice of bars and restaurants, great ice-creams, decent souvenir shops (but not too tacky or high-pressure) and a safe, feel-good atmosphere. The Resort and Spa is really great, built into the hill in traditional style but modern and luxurious, with lots of interesting nooks and crannies and several terraces (some with shady trees) to sit, eat, drink and simply chill - and super views too. Lovely, comfortable rooms, pool, hammam, sauna, treatments, kids' playroom and lots of hikes nearby if you're after some exercise. Staff friendly and helpful, restaurant food fine although nearby restaurants are better. All in all, for a restful break and a de-stress in comfort and style, I'd strongly recommend this place.
