    Lovely hotel with amazing views

    rating12 Jun 2026

This was our first time visiting Montenegro and we were very happy with the location of the hotel (Becici (make sure that you see the sea front and go for a walk along the promenade. It is stunning)). We got a hire car which I would highly recommend as they are low-cost, the roads are in really good condition but beware of the drivers as they are more aggressive than people make out. Make sure that you just go at your own pace. We would recommend that you get an automatic car and paying no attention to the aggressive locals! The car parking at the hotel was incredible. Really friendly staff on reception especially Stojan! We didn't spend loads of time in the hotel. We probably only sat by the pool 3 days out of the 10 because we wanted to explore Montenegro. We would recommend lovcen, lake skadar, pavlova Strana, virpazar, durmitor national Park, budva old town and petrovac. The main restaurant is incredible and the views are what make it! We also really liked the snack bar - incredible pizzas and the cocktails are really good. The breakfast is great. It's the best eggs that we've had in an all-inclusive as they are made fresh to order. The staff weren't always the friendliest but they were all good at their jobs. The evening entertainment starts at 9:30 p.m. which was quite late for us so we requested a quiet room which was in block 2. There are three blocks in the hotel with the noisiest block being block one. The hotel restaurant is in block 3 and the quietest block is block 2. The room had everything that you need. It didn't have any coffee facilities in the room but this was okay as you could get coffees and teas in the all-inclusive in the hotel restaurants. Our biggest issue with the hotel was the shower in the room. It would go from scolding hot to freezing cold within seconds which was very unpleasant. It is also a very very slippery shower, so be careful! The views from the hotel are amazing. Probably the best that we've seen on any of our holidays. There are two main restaurants but both serve the same food and then there is a snack bar and a hotel shop which had quite a poor selection. If you are going to this hotel, make sure that you bring your own full first aid kit, I fell over running on the first day and they did not have a first aid kit in the hotel to help patch me up. Luckily we had our own plasters but they weren't able to offer us anything else. The gym is great, really well equipped and very clean. You can ask at the reception in block one on the same floor as the gym to get early access before 9:00 a.m. and they'll let you in.Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel. We were very well looked after, but we have had better experiences in other hotels in Europe. Definitely make sure that you check out the budva Old Town especially Citadela - it's incredible!!

A Relaxing Stay with Great Amenities and Direct Beach Access

    rating10 Jun 2026

Iberostar Waves Bellevue exceeded my expectations for a 4-star hotel. The location is excellent, with direct beach access, and there is food available until late at night, which is especially convenient for families with young children or anyone who enjoys having snacks later in the evening. The entertainment team deserves special recognition for their enthusiasm and dedication, offering engaging activities for both children and adults. Considering the very competitive price, this hotel is an excellent choice for those looking to relax, enjoy the sun, and spend quality time with their family. One thing worth noting is that the hotel is quite far from the airport, as are most of the better resorts in the area, so I would recommend arranging a transfer in advance.I did experience a few minor issues that do not affect my overall positive rating. For example, the reception staff seemed inexperienced and were unable to provide basic information. When I asked about the difference between the two restaurants, I received two different answers from two different employees. In the end, I had to figure it out myself: there was essentially no difference, except that one restaurant served lunch while the other served dinner.Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I would gladly stay here again.

Wonderful week at the IBEROSTAR Waves Bellevue

    rating09 Jun 2026

I spent a wonderful week at the IBEROSTAR Waves Bellevue hotel. The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of choices every day. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The rooms were comfortable, cozy, and very clean. The hotel has an excellent location right by the sea. There is a beautiful seaside promenade leading towards Bečići. Budva can be reached either by bus or on foot along the coast, which is a pleasant walk with lovely views. The hotel grounds are clean, well-maintained, and attractive. During the hottest part of the day, it is nice to relax in the garden under the olive trees. There are various activities by the pool during the day, and live entertainment and concerts in the evenings.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing holiday and return home with wonderful memories.

    Would defiantly return

    rating07 Jun 2026

We have just finished a short 5 day break here as a group of 11 friends and we each found this hotel nice in many ways, from its location, to food, to rooms and staff. The food was all tasty, a little repetitive, but nice. Staff were friendly, room was absolutely fine for 3 people to each room and pools/beach bar was lovely. Only thing we did find disappointing, was the cocktails - all come from a machine and not freshly made - each are very very sweet. Location was great - €7 into old town Budva, but make sure you book your taxis through the hotel as we caught our own taxi back to the hotel and was charged €25 for a €7 journey that we paid on the way out. Overall we each said we would return, so thank you to the staff again.

Good hotel - but mattresses hard and rooms too hot at 25-26C at night

    rating05 Jun 2026

A well-located hotel, overlooking the bay of Becici and about a 35-minute walk to the old town (a 5-minute drive, 6 Euro by taxi). [TIPS: If driving, be sure to park in a designated car park otherwise, if you park on the street, local police are liable to remove your car to a local compound, even though there may be no clear road signage explaining the parking rules. If taking a taxi, be sure to book it through the hotel - otherwise, white local taxis are unregulated and although they say they are using a meter, are likely to charge you 25 Euro for a 5 Euro trip].Anyway, back to the hotel ......The food, drinks, staff, bay view and gardens were all excellent. However, the rooms are quite small and somewhat tired - especially the bathrooms - and the mattresses are hard. Far worse is that the air con isn't on in May (apparently it is turned on 1st June, even though global warming has changed some of the seasons and so being rigid on dates isn't helpful). Our room (2624, 6th floor of block 2) was usually at 25-26C each night, just too hot to sleep comfortably. We requested a large fan from Day 3 and this made a difference - but our sleep quality was still generally poor. As a taxi driver said to us "anything over 22C in a bedroom is just too hot" - agreed ! We have booked to return to Montenegro in September - this time to Petrovac, about 20km further south and in a hotel that has efficient air conditioning and which actually turns it on to ensure room temperatures never exceed 22C at night, irrespective of month.
