Situated on the main road General Canillo, in the immediate vicinity are links to the public transport network as well as various bars. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Great hotel close to the slopes

    We had another great stay here, close to the gondola and ski hire shops, great restaurants all within walking distance.Breakfast at the hotel is great lots of choice and always replenished.Spa is small but just what you need after a day on the slopes.Our room was a bit warm so needed the window open at night which made it very noisy as we were over looking the carpark.We were in room 407 and the toilet needed replacing it was cracked in many places!Saying that we will certainly be visiting again.     A cozy hotel with a mountain chalet atmosphere. Extremely delicious cuisine, the buffet for dinner exceeded all expectations. The rooms are cleaned every day. Our room windows were facing the street, but after a full day of skiing we slept peacefully. The elevator is about 300 meters away, so next time we would take the ski locker located by the elevator escalator.     Decent base for a ski holiday but some areas to improve

    I would rate the hotel as 3.5/5. Great location a few minutes’ walk from the Canlllo gondola. Reception staff were very helpful prior to our visit. Cosy ski hotel feel. Cava and fruit in the room on arrival was a nice touch (just a shame the cleaners took away the glasses when we still needed them). Breakfast quality was good and the spa was lovely - great to have it to ourselves! It could do with a cold plunge pool or similar as everything was very hot and we needed to cool off!Points for improvement:- If breakfast is to be advertised as finishing at 10.30am, items need to continue to be replenished after 8.30. Too many times they were out of pastries, butter, fruit etc well before breakfast was due to finish.- Cleaning of rooms was not good. I could see a thick layer of dust on the base unit of our TV for our entire stay. Beds were made but that was about it. Sometimes we weren’t given any towels, toilet paper and toiletries were replenished sporadically.- The mattresses are soft and dip in the middle so I woke up with back pain every morning. Rooms were very hot even with the heating off so sleep quality wasn’t great. - The bath had the most ridiculous design - it had no running taps and could only be run by using the shower, which sprayed everywhere and wriggled around like a snake, soaking the whole room. There was also a fixed glass panel in front of the tap end, meaning you couldn’t turn the water on or off without physically getting in the bath, and this was not easy as access was right next to the toilet so there wasn’t even anywhere to put the bath mat down. - Every time we went to have a drink in the bar, we had to go looking for someone to serve us.Overall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel served its purpose as a convenient base for a ski holiday. Grandvalira is a great ski area but we would probably stay on Soldeu next time as we felt apres and dining options in Canillo were limited.     Great Hotel!

    We stayed for 5 nights in one of the family suites, which was perfect for our young family! The hotel is conveniently located with everything you could need within a 5 minute walk! The Canillo sector of Grandvalira is great for kids learning to ski, the conditions were also perfect during our stay. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. We will be back!
