Stayed here on a ski trip with a group of mates, the room itself was a studio but small, there was 3 of use but no way could 4 of stayed in there. It was tight and uncomfortable. The room itself cleanliness wasn't great. Lack of kitchen equipment /washing up liquid / towels to try pots and pans etc. Hotel Manager, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Pas De La Casa Princesa Apartamentos, responded to this review Dear Peter,Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay.We sincerely apologize that your experience fell short in some areas. Awful!

    rating31 Jul 2024

Avoid like the plague! Rooms were tiny and I’m sure they get better beds in prison, air pods were stolen from the room, the curtain rail snapped and fell down on us while asleep. The locker area going onto the ski slopes was like something out of a horror movie & they have the cheek to make you pay a deposit upon arrival, we left early and finished our trip in Barcelona giving our slope passes to some locals to enjoy! Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Pas De La Casa Princesa Apartamentos, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. We understand that the size of our rooms may have felt restrictive and we regret any discomfort you experienced. Our accommodations are designed to balance modern aesthetics with practicality, and we continuously work on enhancing our guests' experiences. We are troubled to hear about the issue with the bed comfort and the curtain rail incident. Please be assured that we take such matters seriously and will inspect and address these concerns immediately. Moreover, we are disheartened by the situation regarding your personal items and take security within our premises very seriously. We would like to discuss this matter directly to understand what occurred and how we can assist.Regarding the deposit, our policy is to inform all guests of this requirement, which is standard practice to safeguard the quality of our accommodations for all guests. We apologize if this was not made clear to you and appreciate your understanding. Finally, while we do not manage the locker area, we are always looking for ways to improve the overall guest experience, including the amenities we recommend. Your feedback is invaluable in this effort. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience in the future.Kind regards,Pierre & Vacances Pas de La Casa Princesa, General Manager

Good location for skiing in and out and lovely mountain views

    rating08 Mar 2024

There are lots of positives about this place: the studio apartment was well-equipped (although the cups were too small for a Brit tea-addict and it had a peculiar antique tin opener!), it was clean, quiet, two good lifts, great free WiFi, the bed was comfy, the shower was excellent (and the shower gel provided was lovely), towels were very nice and the location with ski in and out was great. However, there are definitely some drawbacks/negative points worth noting: the main one is the condition of the boot room. I have never seen such a terrible one! See photos. Half the lockers are broken, it's a freezing, smelly dungeon of a place and the lights keep going out when you're halfway through putting your boots on. After the first day I took my boots back to my room, as it was horrid putting freezing cold, stiff boots on. The second point to note is the heating in the apartment, which I thought wasn't working and raised it with Reception. They said they'd get someone to look at it - nothing happened - and it wasn't until a couple of days in that I realised there's a thermostat that needs to be turned up in order for the individual heaters to work. Why Reception couldn't have told me that I don't know :-(The third point to bear in mind is that whilst it's great to have ski in and out from the boot room, it means carrying shopping back to the apartment is quite a marathon! Either you have to climb up the slope (not to be recommended if you're carrying shopping as it's VERY steep), or walk through the town and it's a L O N G way from the bottom of town all the way up to Princesa. TIP: take a short cut by walking through town and then taking the path which leads directly up to the boot room, ie the end of the path you take directly from the slopes. If you book your boots and skis through SkiSet Surfevasio ask Reception to call them to pick you up to collect the skis and boots. They will come and get you and bring you back with your gear afterwards. It's a hugely helpful service (but this wasn't volunteered by Reception and it was only when I asked for directions to SkiSet that I was told of this facility - they really should have asked me if I'd booked with SkiSet and told me the procedure, or else I would have faced a VERY long walk there and back again with my gear). Finally, just a point about taxis. I arrived at 1am and it was cold and snowing. I'd emailed Princesa from the UK to ask for the name of a taxi firm I could pre-book with, as I knew I would be arriving very late, but they told me it's not possible to book ahead and gave me a tel no. On the night, however, nobody answered the phone and in the end I had no choice but to put one foot in front of the other and find my way to the apartment - all uphill of course, in the snow, dragging a suitcase. It took a good half hour and I was exhausted by the time I reached the place. Not a great start to the holiday! The out of hours procedure for getting my key worked perfectly though, thank heavens. For all of that though I would recommend Princesa for a ski break and I thoroughly enjoyed my first solo ski holiday, and my first time in Andorra. I hope I'll be back. Won’t be booking again

    rating04 Mar 2024

Unless you fit and don’t have little ones don’t bother booking this hotel is at the top of the hill. Which after skiing is a killer and if you want to go to the shops or dinner it’s the dreaded walk. It advertises ski in and ski out more like a mud run!! My £300 trousers and boots were covered in mud even with the down pour of snow we had you couldn’t ski in and out as there some big rocks about. The pictures you see of the amazing views of the mountains from your room is a joke walked in are room and can’t complain it was clean but noticed the curtains were shut so opened them to look at a brick wall!! Which put a downer on the holiday. When we arrived we arrived before check in time the receptionist was rude and very unhelpful. I couldn’t get my booking up as my Internet wouldn’t work on my phone so asked for the WiFi which I still couldn’t connect to because you needed a room number which obviously I didn’t know stood there panicking for about 10 mins before she asked what name the booking was under. Also then had to pay €30 to check in early as we were 4 hours early. They also take €200 deposit which I have been home 3 days and it’s only gone back in. Also I think they put all the English on level -3 and at night is was loud with groups of people in rooms Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Pas De La Casa Princesa Apartamentos, responded to this review Dear Vikki,Thank you for sharing your opinion following your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Pas De La Casa Princesa. We're glad to hear that you found your room to be clean upon arrival, as we strive to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Regarding your concerns, we apologise if the ski-in/ski-out experience and the view from your room did not meet your expectations. For future reference, our property's location at the top of the hill is outlined in our materials, and while it provides direct access to Grandvalira ski resort, we understand that the terrain can be challenging after a day of skiing. We also regret if you were not entirely satisfied with the early check-in fee and the deposit process. Please be assured that we aim to provide clear communication about these policies prior to arrival, and we are reviewing our procedures to ensure prompt returns of deposits. We hope to see you again.Best regards,Axel Lewin, General Manager
