    Lovely hotel

    rating25 May 2019

This is a really lovely hotel right in the middle of the Pyrenees alpine area. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. I have Celiac disease (require Gluten Free food) and the restaurant very kindly catered to me for every meal. I was able to eat pretty much everything on the menu, which was such a treat. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were great. Thanks very much.

    Skiing

    rating29 Mar 2019

Excellent food, very good friendly helpful staff. Well maintained hotel, warm and peaceful. The spa is well priced and tastefully finished with spectacular views. The hotel is excellently located for access to the slopes in 5 mins. Both the private and public free bus/taxi service are available and great services. The ski shop is located with lockers on site and perfect for making things easy. Car parking is plentiful across the road should it be needed. The bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. The bed however could be a bit firmer, perhaps more comfortable but the sound proofing is very good. A lack of hairdryer and a complementary bottle of water would be a recommendation for management. This is a perfect hotel for a relaxing trip to the mountains should you not wish to be located in town. I would recommend highly.

    Weird hotel concept

    rating06 Jan 2019

In the middle of the Mountains in Andorra, near the Arcalis sky resort, you can find a nice wooden hotel, which loses its interest once you step in. Inside, a dark, cold and weird decoration from the reception to the rooms makes you feel troubled. The restaurant staff is quite nice but follows rules that show restrictions in terms of possible changes. Food tries to be too sophisticated. We were offered what seemed to be Christmas dishes, after Christmas break (left overs?). Breakfast was average and limited in terms of egg options: fried eggs only; you cannot order scrambled eggs or omelette for example. On the positive side a nice spa (strange rules in terms of service hours though) with a fantastic masseur and a nice small fitness area. The hotel does not offer a mountain family atmosphere if you are looking for such experience.

Some management issues in the restaurant

    rating18 Sept 2018

Although the salon & restaurant were modern & glitzy, our room & bathroom were a little tired. The restaurant opened promptly at 8pm & a couple of coach parties filed in to be served first with their ‘set menu’. We waited in the bar for 15 minutes to let things settle down, but when we went across there was no Maitre D’ to seat us. Eventually a rather harassed waiter, plates in hand, nodded to a table for two where we sat & waited several more minutes for a menu to be provided. The receptionist took our order & the food was very good. It would have been more sensible for the large groups to be served at 7.30 then independent guests arriving from 8 o’clock would have had the attention expected in any good restaurant. Alternatively, a separate area with additional staff could have been arranged for the parties. Next day we took breakfast later than usual in order to avoid the crush at the buffet - the parties would be leaving early to continue their bus tours.
